VP Radhakrishnan attends convocation ceremony of IIM Ranchi

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan on his one-day visit to Jharkhand, attended the convocation ceremony of IIM Ranchi and felicitated the meritorious students on saturday. Governor of Jharkhand, Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Vice-Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh, MoS, Ministry of Defence, Sanjay Seth and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the students and others present at the convocation, the Vice President asked the students to keep up their hard work and not loose hope as it will give good results in future.

The Vice President reached Ulihatu village in Khunti this morning, where he received a grand traditional welcome at the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

The Vice President paid floral tributes at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and interacted warmly with his descendants. During the visit, he also honoured Sukhram Munda, a descendant of Birsa Munda.

He said that people from Kashmir to Kanyakumari take pride in the sacrifice of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
