The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
According to the schedule, polling in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry will be held on April 9, 2026. Voting in Tamil Nadu will take place on April 23, 2026. West Bengal will go to polls in two phases on April 23 and April 29, 2026. The counting of votes for all five states will be held on May 4, 2026.
