Home Minister Pu K. Sapdanga informed the Mizoram Assembly that drugs worth approximately ₹317.30 crore have been seized under the ongoing Operation Jericho since 1 September 2025. Responding to supplementary questions during the session, the Home Minister said the large-scale anti-drug operation has led to the seizure of narcotic substances valued at about ₹317.30 crore so far.

He added that several major smuggling routes used to transport the substances have been choked in many areas as a result of the operation, significantly reducing trafficking activities.

However, Pu K. Sapdanga also noted that intelligence inputs indicate the emergence of new smuggling routes in southern Mizoram and the state’s border area of Manipur. Authorities are currently monitoring these developments. The Home Minister further stated that Operation Jerico is scheduled to conclude on 31 March, adding that discussions on extending the operation have not yet taken place.
