The National Testing Agency has extended the last date for submission of online application forms for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET (UG)–2026 until March 11.

According to a public notice issued by the agency, candidates can now submit their online application forms until 9:00 PM on March 11, while the payment of examination fees can be made up to 11:50 PM on the same day. The agency advised applicants to complete the process within the extended timeline, clarifying that no further extension will be granted.

The extension comes after Minister Sakeena Itoo wrote to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on March 6 requesting additional time for students. The minister cited recent internet restrictions in the Kashmir Valley, which had been imposed to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.

Several students reportedly faced difficulties in submitting their application forms due to slow internet speeds, OTP verification problems and technical issues during the submission process.

Welcoming the decision, Sakeena Itoo thanked the Union Education Minister for promptly considering the request and extending the application deadline by three days. She said the move would benefit many aspirants from the Kashmir Valley who were unable to complete their forms due to connectivity issues.

The minister also advised candidates to avoid last-minute submissions and complete the application process well before the deadline to prevent technical difficulties. She urged all aspiring candidates who have not yet applied to take advantage of the extended timeline and ensure their applications are submitted within the stipulated time.
