Mission YUVA: Women Entrepreneurs Mela held at Chenani

A one-day Women Entrepreneurs Mela was organised by the Employment Department Udhampur at the Common Facility Centre in Chenani under the flagship initiative Mission YUVA.

The mela was inaugurated by  MLA Chenani Balwant Singh Mankotia in the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Ranjeet Singh Kotwal and Assistant Director Employment Priyanka Gupta.

Around 260 individuals, including aspiring entrepreneurs, local residents and government officials, attended the mela. Various government departments set up informative stalls highlighting different schemes and support services available for entrepreneurs. Local entrepreneurs also displayed and sold their products, which received an encouraging response from visitors.

On the occasion, the MLA felicitated several successful women entrepreneurs in recognition of their dedication and achievements in the field of entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurs also shared their experiences and success stories, inspiring aspiring youth and women to explore entrepreneurial opportunities and become self-reliant.

Officials said the event provided a valuable platform for interaction between aspiring entrepreneurs and government departments while promoting awareness about various schemes aimed at supporting small businesses and self-employment.
