Odisha Police has achieved great success in the field of Maoist suppression in 2025-26. About 25 Maoists, including 2 central committee members, have been eliminated. While many have been arrested, a large number of Maoists have surrendered, said Director General of Police O.Y.B. Khurania.

At a press conference held in Bhubaneswar on Thursday, he said that 30 to 35 Maoists are active in the border areas of Kalahandi and Rayagada districts. They are divided into 3 groups and are involved in Maoist activities.

Khurania also appealed to the Maoists to take advantage of the rehabilitation policy announced by the state government for Maoist surrender and return to the main source.
