Nitish Kumar files Rajya Sabha nomination

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP president Nitin Nabin were among five NDA candidates who filed their nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha polls on Thursday.

They filed the papers in the presence of India’s Home Minister Amit Shah at the office of Assembly Secretary Khyati Singh.

The other NDA candidates who filed their nominations are BJP state general secretary Shivesh Kumar, JD(U)’s Ram Nath Thakur and RLM’s Upendra Kushwaha.

DMK’s Tiruchi Siva and J. Constandine Ravindran, AIADMK’s M. Thambi Durai, PMK’s Anbumani Ramadoss, Congress’ M. Christopher Tilak, and DMDK’s L.K. Sudhish were among those who filed their nominations for the biennial election to the Rajya Sabha.
