Fire breaks out at Longai Tea Garden in Sribhumi

A massive fire broke out on Saturday at the Longai Tea Garden in Sribhumi district. The fire reportedly started after an 11 KV high-voltage power line snapped in Section No. 2 of the garden.

The blaze quickly spread over nearly 15 hectares of land. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after sustained efforts. A large number of tea plants were damaged in the incident.
