At least 50 people were killed, with several women and children abducted, after armed men attacked a village in Nigeria’s northwestern Zamfara state.

There has been a surge in attacks blamed on ‘bandits’, involving deadly assaults, kidnappings for ransom and mass displacement across northern Nigeria.

Safety & security remain a pressing concern in Nigeria, piling pressure on the government to restore stability.
