PM Modi holds Joint Press Briefing with Brazil’s President Lula

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a press statement today during a joint briefing with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Speaking on India-Brazil relations, Prime Minister Modi said that India will increase the supply of affordable, quality medicines to Brazil and expand Ayurveda and traditional medicine to promote holistic healthcare.

He added that agreements on critical minerals and rare earths will strengthen supply chains and deepen strategic cooperation, including in agriculture and food security.

PM Modi also emphasized that technology and innovation remain key pillars of the partnership, with new initiatives underway in digital public infrastructure and emerging technologies.

The Prime Minister noted that Brazil is India’s largest trade partner in Latin America and said both countries are committed to significantly expanding bilateral trade in the coming years.
