The Dehrun–Matpora Bridge has been restored, bringing relief to thousands of residents after it collapsed in recent flash floods.

The bridge had been washed away following heavy flooding, severing connectivity to nearly 40 villages in the region. The disruption caused significant hardship for local residents, affecting access to medical services, education and the transportation of essential goods.

The issue was highlighted by local news channels, drawing attention to the plight of affected villagers and the urgent need for administrative intervention.

Following the coverage, the local administration initiated restoration work on a priority basis. Officials closely monitored the progress to ensure early completion.

With the restoration now complete, the bridge has reconnected the affected villages, easing daily life and restoring vital connectivity in the area.
