Gujarat Budget: Govt Presents Rs 4.08 Lakh Crore For Fiscal Year 2026

Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented a 4.08 lakh crore rupees Budget for the fiscal year 2026, with an estimated surplus of 974 crore rupees. Designed under the vision of ‘Viksit Gujarat @ 2047′, Key highlights of the budget include a massive leap in student welfare with increased scholarship limits, the creation of a 50,000 crore rupee developmental fund, and a visionary plan to prepare Ahmedabad for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and tourism promotion.

The Minister said the total outlay of the budget increased by 10.2 per cent over the previous fiscal year. The Finance Minister has kept the tax rates unchanged and continued the 5 per cent tax rebate for electric vehicles.
