Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has announced the operation of special trains from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi and Varanasi in February–March 2026.
According to the officials of Railways, special train No. 04081/04082 will operate between New Delhi and Katra with 16 trips from February 21 to March 8, 2026. Meanwhile, train No. 04603/04604 will run between Varanasi and Katra with four trips on February 22 and 26, and March 2 and 6, 2026.
The trains will halt at major stations en route, benefiting passengers from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. The move is aimed at managing the anticipated festive rush, improving ticket availability and ensuring safe and comfortable journeys for travelers.
In addition, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a full-fare tourist train from Pratapnagar in Gujarat to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to promote pilgrimage tourism during the festive season.
Passengers can book tickets through IRCTC’s official platform, while train-related information is available via railway helpline number 139 and the National Train Enquiry System (NTES).
Railway authorities stated that the special services reflect their commitment to enhancing passenger convenience during peak travel periods.
