Puducherry Assembly Passes Financial Allocation For First Five Months Of Next Fiscal

The Puducherry Assembly passed the Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill through a voice vote today. The Budget of Rs 5,396 crores is allocated for the first five months of the next fiscal year 2026-27. The bill was tabled by Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who also holds the Finance portfolio.

A Bill seeking approval for additional expenditure for the current financial year was also introduced in the House. The assembly adjourned sine die after transacting scheduled business.

Assembly Elections of Puducherry are expected to be held April-May 2026 for 30 seats.
