British Universities are expanding their presence in India, with the University of Southampton opening a campus in Delhi. The move follows India’s 2023 policy allowing top foreign universities to set up campuses to meet rising demand for higher education.

The expansion also comes as UK universities face pressure at home over international student recruitment and visa rules.

In 2025 University of Liverpool also advertised for applying it’s campus in Bengaluru. For the first batch the university offers under-graduate courses on Computer, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Biomediacal Sciences and Gaming Designing.
