CBI and Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre Concludes a National Conference

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre concluded a two-day National Conference on tackling cyber-enabled frauds and dismantling the supporting ecosystem in New Delhi yesterday.

The Conference included discussions on regulating reforms, usage of artificial intelligence and Global Cooperation to Combat Cybercrime.

In a statement, the CBI said participants discussed the emerging threat of cyber slavery, recruitment of victims into overseas scam operations and the need for preventive mechanisms, international cooperation and rehabilitation frameworks.

The role of social media platforms, messaging services and digital intermediaries in facilitating fraud was also examined, with emphasis on faster data sharing.

The conference concluded with the sharing of best practices from successful cybercrime investigations and demonstrations of AI-driven tools that enhance investigative capabilities and inter-agency coordination.
