Meghalaya Mine Blast: 28 dead at Mynsngat, Rescue Operations Continue

In Meghalaya, search and rescue operations are continuing following the mine explosion at Mynsngat, Thangsko area, with teams from the NDRF, SDRF, Special Rescue Team, Police, and District Administration engaged in the operation.

One injured person admitted in NEIGRIHMS Hospital, Shillong, succumbed to his injuries, leaving the total death toll at 28. Local people also doing their best to help the injured.

Chief Minister of Meghalaya Cornad K Sangma announced that a judicial inquiry will be constituted under the Inquiry Act Commission, to investigate the matter. The commission will look into the matter to identify the lapses and what exactly happened.
