Police register case and arrest two persons in Surajkund swing accident

A case has been registered at Surajkund Police Station in the swing ride accident against Mohammad Shakir, the proprietor of the amusement company, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Shakir, along with another accused, Nitesh, has been arrested in the case. The role of other individuals involved is being investigated.

Approximately 12 people were injured in the accident due to the swing breaking, while Inspector Jagdish Prasad of the Haryana Police died while attempting to rescue the injured.

According to the police spokesperson, a three-member special investigation team has been constituted under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) to conduct a scientific and technical investigation into the accident.
