Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal today addressed the World Forum of Accountants 2.0, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), in Greater Noida.
The three-day global event, being held from January 30 to February 1, celebrates the evolution of the chartered accountancy profession from nation-building to global collaboration.
As a proud Chartered Accountant, Piyush Goyal expressed confidence in India’s strong position amid global volatility.
He highlighted the country’s robust macroeconomic fundamentals and its emergence as one of the world’s largest economies, adding that India is on track to become the third-largest economy well ahead of earlier projections, crediting the reforms undertaken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.
