U.S. President Donald Trump defended his administration’s immigration crackdown following a second fatal shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis.

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, President Trump said the operation was central to his 2024 presidential win and to Republicans’ control of Congress.

“Tragically, two American Citizens have lost their lives as a result of this Democrat ensued chaos,” President Trump added.

The Trump administration has launched an immigration operation in Minneapolis, prompting weeks of protests by residents and violent confrontations with federal agents, including two fatal shootings: Renee Good on January 7 and ICU nurse Alex Pretti this past weekend.
