Vice President Dr C. P. Radhakrishnan today launched a book titled Chalice of Ambrosia: Ram Janmabhoomi-Challenge and Response in New Delhi. The book is written by a former secretary to the Government of India, Surendra Kumar Pachauri.
The event was attended by Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Construction Committee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and Chairman of the Executive Council for the Prime Minister’s Museum and Library ; Vinod Rai, former Comptroller and Auditor General of India; Deepak Gupta, former Chairperson, UPSC; Amit Khare, Secretary to the Vice President of India; and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President said that Ram Mandir at Ayodhya marks a defining moment in India’s civilisational journey, where faith, law and democracy converged with dignity.
Dr Radhakrishnan added that Lord Ram is the soul of the nation, and the 2019 Supreme Court verdict fulfilled the aspirations of millions and showcased the strength of Indian democracy.
He highlighted the role of the ASI excavation, mass public participation, and said the Ram Mandir restored the self-respect of Indians worldwide.
