Srinagar’s Food Safety Department Conducts Crackdown Against Adulteration

In a  substantial action against food adulteration, the Food Safety Department Srinagar, under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner Yameen ul Nabi, conducted joint raids in the Qamarwari and Barthana areas of the city. The operation was carried out in collaboration with officials from Police Station Qamarwari as part of efforts to ensure food safety and consumer protection.

During the inspection, the teams detected and seized adulterated ghee and honey that were being falsely labelled and sold as Kashmiri ghee. Officials also recovered objectionable substances suspected to be used as adulterants, along with sugar packs and honey believed to be meant for mixing and adulteration.
