Norway announces $400 million aid package to Ukraine

Norway today announced to allocate a $400 million aid package to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky thanking Norway said, “This is very important and will truly support our people.”

“I thanked him for such substantial assistance and for all the support packages for the military and energy sectors. I thank Norway for its assistance since the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression,” he added.

The announcement came when during a meeting between President Zelensky and Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide.

Both the leaders discussed the energy situation in Ukraine. Zelensky informed about Russia’s attacks on  civilian infrastructure every day, especially energy facilities.

They also discussed diplomacy of  achieving a dignified peace and Norway’s participation in the PURL initiative and the importance of its further development, as well as prospects for joint arms production and other projects in the field of military cooperation.
