India and France Join Hands to Ensure Peace and Stability

India and France have underscored the importance of closer cooperation to address challenges in the global security environment, with the aim of advancing peace and stability. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Emmanuel Bonne, Diplomatic Adviser to the French President today co-chaired the 38th India-France Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi.

During the Dialogue, both sides reiterated their commitment to the strategic partnership. The two countries discussed ongoing bilateral initiatives spanning the domains of security, defence, technology, space, and civil nuclear cooperation.

Opportunities were also explored for joint-development and collaboration in the spirit of Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat. Discussions included the evolving geopolitical situation as well as regional and international issues of common concern.

The two sides also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to India.  Emmanuel Bonne also called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and met External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.
