Atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh continue. A 28-year-old Hindu auto-rickshaw driver, Samir Kumar Das, was brutally murdered in Feni district on Sunday night, with the attackers fleeing the scene with his vehicle.
According to police and local sources, Samir Kumar Das—also known as Samir Chandra Das—was beaten and stabbed near the Daganbhuiyan Upazila Health Complex.
His battery-operated CNG auto-rickshaw was stolen by the assailants. Locals discovered his blood-soaked body around 2:00 am on Monday near Dakshin Karimpur Muhuri Bari and alerted the police.
The victim, a resident of Ramanandapur village, was the son of Kartik Kumar Das and Rina Rani Das. Family members said he had been supporting his household by driving the auto-rickshaw for several years and raised the alarm when he failed to return home by late Sunday afternoon.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are making efforts to identify and arrest those responsible.
