Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz held one-to-one and delegation level talks in Gandhinagar today. The two leaders called for giving further momentum and elevating the Strategic Partnership.
Their discussions covered key pillars of India-Germany cooperation – defence and security, trade and economic relations, technology, innovation and research, education, green energy, skill development, mobility and people-to-people ties.
They noted that as the third and the fourth largest economies, India and Germany are natural partners. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to deepen the bilateral partnership and advance global stability and progress.
Following the talks, both sides exchanged/ adopted MOUs/ Understandings in the fields of defence and security, trade and economy, critical and emerging technologies, science and technology, renewable energy, green hydrogen, education, skilling, cultural, sports and people to people ties.
These outcomes will create new opportunities for our people and our businesses, especially the youth.
