BSF Constable dies after barrack catches fire in North Kashmir

A Border Security Force (BSF) constable of 62nd Battalion camp dies after fire broke out in a barrack in Bandipora District in North Kashmir, yesterday night.

The incident occurred in the Madar area of Bandipora, where fire engulfed the barrack, destroying it completely. The BSF Soldier who was inside the barrack could not be rescued on time and was charred to death.

The body was later shifted to the District hospital for medico-legal formalities. The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Jalandhar Punjab.

The body of the deceased will be sent to his native place after complete medico-legal formalities, the authorities told to DD news.
