US President Donald Trump on Saturday said that Iranians are seeking freedom like never before, as protests continue to spread across the country. He added that the United States is ready to offer support to the Iranian people in their struggle for rights and freedom.
Meanwhile Iranian authorities indicated to intensify their crackdown on what is happening in the country.
Following the protests, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) vowed to defend Iran’s national interests and urged citizens to remain alert to what it described as enemy plots.
Protests have spread across Iran since December 28, initially triggered by soaring inflation.
