65th Annual Bodo Sahitya Sabha Conference Concludes in Chirang

The third and final day of the 65th annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha is being held today at Thengpakhri field under Bijni in Chirang district.

BTC Deputy Chief Executive Member Rihan Daimary, inaugurated a colourful cultural procession on the occasion.

Notably, several dignitaries including Assam Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary and Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma attended the second day of the programme.

The Bodo Sahitya Sabha promotes the Bodo language and Bodo literature. It was founded under the presidency and leadership of Joy Bhadra Hagjer, at Basugaon, in the district of Kokrajhar, Assam on 16 November 1952.

It consisted of representatives of Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Nepal in abroad.
