The New Delhi World Book Fair 2026 is being organised by the National Book Trust in collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation at Bharat Mandapam from January 10 to 18.

This year’s theme, “Indian Military History: Valour and Wisdom @75,” celebrates the courage, legacy, and wisdom of India’s armed forces.

Addressing the event, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the theme honours the Armed Forces’ sacrifice and contribution to nation-building, reflecting Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of national integration.

For the first time, entry to the fair is completely free to encourage public participation and promote a reading culture. The event features over 1,000 publishers from more than 35 countries, with around 3,000 book stalls across genres.

Qatar is the Guest of Honour country, while Spain is the Focus Country, enhancing international cultural and literary exchange at the fair.
