FM Nirmala Sitharaman Chairs Pre-Budget Meeting with states, UTs

As part of a pre-budget exercise, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is chairing a meeting with the Finance Ministers of States and Union Territories in New Delhi. Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary.

The meeting was also attended by Governor of Manipur; Chief Ministers of Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Sikkim; Deputy Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Telangana; the Finance Ministers of States/UTs, besides Secretaries of Departments of Economic Affairs, Expenditure, and Revenue, and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance

The Budget Session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on the 28th of this month. The first phase will conclude on February 13, after which Parliament will adjourn for a recess. The second phase will begin on March 9 and continue until April 2.
