Dhaka police in Bangladesh have arrested three Chinese nationals for allegedly running an illegal iPhone assembly factory in the capital, seizing hundreds of counterfeit devices and equipment used in the operation.

The arrested individuals were identified as Tan Jian, Wu Jun and Dong Hongwei. Detective Branch officials recovered 363 iPhones of various models, along with a large quantity of spare parts and phone-assembling machinery, during raids in the Uttara and Nikunja areas, local media reported.

According to police, the assembled phones closely resembled original iPhones and were sold in the local market as genuine products, misleading buyers.
