HRD Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Lokesh Nara met sprinter Jyothi Yarraji, and congratulate her on winning Gold at the Asian Athletics Championships with a new meet record in the 100m hurdles.
The Minister gifted a checque of Rs 30.35 lakh during the meeting.
Ace Athelete from Andhra Pradesh, Jyothi Yarraji is the national record holder in 100 m hurdles. Yarraji is a two-time Asian champion, having won gold medals in the 100m hurdles at the 2023 and recently in 2025 editions of the Asian Championships.
Appreciating Yarraji, Nara wrote on ‘X’ : “Her grit and determination inspire a nation. We extended ₹30.35 lakh support for her preparations towards the Asian & Commonwealth Games. We stand firmly with her on the road to Olympic glory.”
