Venezuelan President Maduro brought to U.S. to Face Charges

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who were captured by U.S. forces on Saturday arrived at the Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York.

Maduro, who was indicted on various U.S. charges, including narco-terrorism conspiracy, is expected to make an initial appearance in Manhattan federal court on Monday.

Earlier on Saturday, The U.S. launched a wide-scale “air, land and sea” military attack on Venezuela involving at least 150 aircraft. Maduro and his wife were captured and flown out of the country.

Meanwhile, India has expressed concern over the recent development in Venezuela and said it is closely monitoring the evolving situation there.

External affairs Ministry, Government of India in a statement said that the recent developments in Venezuela are a matter of deep concern.
