Russia and Cuba on Saturday condemned the U.S. attack on Venezuela, warning against further escalation and calling for dialogue.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it was “deeply concerned” and denounced an “act of armed aggression” by the United States, adding that the current situation requires restraint and diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel also condemned what he called a “criminal attack” on Venezuela, urging urgent action from the international community to defend the country’s sovereignty.

In a post on social media, Díaz-Canel said Cuba’s “Zone of Peace is being brutally assaulted” and accused Washington of “state terrorism against the brave Venezuelan people.”

Meanwhile, Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino warned that the country would resist any foreign military presence, reiterating long-standing calls to uphold national sovereignty.
