Tiger Attacks: Two Killed in Tadoba–Andhari Tiger Reserve, One Youth Injured in Golaghat

A youth was seriously injured in a tiger attack at Udyan Tea Estate in Golaghat district of Assam on Sunday afternoon. The injured youth has been identified as Deepak Majhi.

According to reports, the tiger attacked him suddenly while he was walking through the tea garden with his friends. However, due to the timely intervention of his friends, his life was saved. Deepak Majhi is currently undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital in Golaghat.

In another incidence in Maharshtra, two labourers were killed in separate tiger attacks on Sunday in the buffer zone of the Tadoba–Andhari Tiger Reserve, They were engaged in bamboo cutting, while the mishap happened. There is a fear triggered among local residents and workers, officials said.

Further investigation is underway and necessary measures will be taken to ensure safety in the affected areas, the forest officials said.
