One person killed and 19 injured in the drones attack by Russia in the Ukraine’s Kyiv and other regions on Saturday. The injured include two children.
The attack came ahead of the talks between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump.
Zelensky said around 500 drones and 40 missiles used in the attack. The 10 hour continuous attack started in the morning and resulted lots of building damages.
Zelensky said, “Regrettably, there have been hits, and ordinary residential buildings have been damaged.”
Rescue operations are on searching for a person trapped under the rubble of one of them.
In some districts of the capital and the region, electricity and heating are unavailable due to the attacks. Firefighting efforts are underway.
Zelensky informed that repair works are also at some energy facilities.
“This is the true attitude of Putin and his inner circle. They do not want to end the war and seek to use every opportunity to cause Ukraine even greater suffering and increase their pressure on others around the world,” Zelensky added.
