A 7.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Taiwan

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Taiwan’s northeastern coastal city Yilan in Saturday. The weather administration department said no casualties are reported.

The intensity category 4 quake shook the building which felt by the locals in the capital Taipei. The depth was 73 km.

Around 3,000 homes faced the power cut for a brief period in Yilan.

The authorities in Taipei said apart from some minor gas and water leakage, there was no major damage reported immediate aftermath the quake.
