To boost more the civil aviation sector, Shankh Air, Al-Hind Air and FlyExpress receiving No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, clearing their way to begin operations.
Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu recently met teams from the three aspiring airlines, noting that Uttar Pradesh-based Shankh Air had already secured its NOC earlier and is expected to commence operations from 2026.
Operated by Uttar Pradesh–based Shankh Aviation, the airline aims to expand its fleet to 20–25 aircraft over the next two to three years.
Al-Hind Air and FlyExpress have also received their NOCs this week from the ministry of civil aviation.
Currently, India has nine scheduled domestic airlines, with IndiGo and the Air India Group together commanding over 90 per cent market share.
