BCCI Announces India’s squad for ICC Men’s T20 WC and T20I series against NZ

The Men’s Selection Committee has picked India’s squad for the upcoming five-match IDFC First Bank T20I Cricket series against New Zealand and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Cricket 2026.

Two changes made by BCCI selection committee. Shubhman Gill and Jitesh Sharma were dropped. Rinku Singh replaced with Gill and wicket keeper Jitesh Sharma is replaced with Ishan Kishan.

Axar Patel is given the responsibility of Vice-captain of Indian team.

India’s squad: Suryakumar Yadav (C), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (WK), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel (VC), Rinku Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy, Washington Sundar, Ishan Kishan (WK)

After the announcement a press conference  was held at the BCCI HQ.
