India and Jordan held delegation-level talks in Amman, discussing a wide range of mutual and regional issues.
In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said both nations enjoy a strong partnership and agreed to pursue positive initiatives to elevate India-Jordan relations.
PM Modi said that India and Jordan share the same intent in tackling the menace of terrorism. He lauded Jordan’s efforts in promoting moderation and enabling global peace.
Modi highlighted Jordan’s active and positive role on the Gaza issue, expressing hope that peace and stability will prevail in the region.
He emphasized the common and clear stance of both nations against terrorism, extremism, and radicalisation.
King Abdullah II of Jordan said PM Modi’s visit reflects decades of friendship, mutual respect, and productive cooperation. He added that the visit provides an important opportunity to chart new paths for economic collaboration.
During the talks, the two leaders agreed to further strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism, reinforcing the strategic partnership between India and Jordan in addressing global security challenges.
