Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Praveen Kumar, visited the Jammu Frontier on December 14 and 15, 2025, to review the overall border management scenario and security arrangements along the International Border.
During the visit, the DG conducted a comprehensive assessment of the counter-infiltration grid and operational preparedness of the force.
He visited Samba and Kathua sectors, where he interacted with troops deployed on the ground and lauded the dedication, professionalism and vigilance of the BSF Praharis in safeguarding the nation’s borders under challenging conditions.
Praveen Kumar also reviewed the progress of Smart Border Technology projects, aimed at enhancing surveillance and strengthening border security through modern and technology-driven solutions.
As part of his visit, the DG inaugurated 20 newly constructed Mahila Barracks at Border Out Posts (BOPs). The facilities have been developed to improve accommodation standards and welfare infrastructure for women personnel deployed in forward areas.
The DG BSF reiterated the force’s commitment to maintaining robust border security while simultaneously focusing on the welfare and operational efficiency of its personnel.
