Colombia Bus Tragedy: 17 Dead, 20 Injured

At least 17 people were killed and 20 injured when a bus fell to a cliff in rural area of northern Colombia on Sunday. The bus was carrying school children.

Sharing the tragic accident in social media X, the Governor of Antioqis, Andres Julian said: “today is a very sad day. We woke up to the news of a school bus accident, which was traveling from Tolú to Medellín. It fell into an abyss on the Belén road, El Chispero sector, between Remedios and Zaragoza. Its occupants: young students from the Liceo Antioqueño in Bello, who were returning from an excursion. So far, more than a dozen people are reported deceased and 20 injured. The entire hospital network has been activated to attend to and support this emergency. In the next few minutes, I will travel to the hospital in Remedios.”
