Ahmed al Ahmed, an Australian who sells fruits and vegetables saved lives after wrestled a gun man in an encounter at the Bondi Beach in Sydney and injured himself severely.
Donations and prayers both pouring for the wounded, who shown a heroic efforts to capture the gun man and the gun.
Praising the 43 years old, Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese said Ahmed’s bravery saved lives. “What we have seen last 24 hours was the worst of humanity in a terrorist act. But we also saw an example of the best of humanity in Ahmed al Ahmed running towards danger, putting his own life at risk”, Albanese added.
Donations surged past $7,44000 and appreciation are flowing for Ahmed who recovered after the surgery who had bullet wounds.
According to Australian police a 50 year old father and 24 year son attacked with guns in a Jewish celebration on Sunday afternoon killing 15 people.
Ahmed’s father Mohammed Fateh said his son is a Hero. He served in the police and his passion is to defend people.
The Premier of New South Wales, Chris Minns lauded the effort on social media X: “Ahmed is a real-life hero. Last night, his incredible bravery no doubt saved countless lives when he disarmed a terrorist at enormous personal risk. It was an honour to spend time with him just now and to pass on the thanks of people across NSW.”
