Prime Minister Narendra Modi warmly received Russian President Vladimir Putin at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg (LKM), in New Delhi.
President Putin arrived in the capital earlier on Thursday for a two-day state visit. In a rare diplomatic gesture, PM Modi welcomed him at the airport ahead of the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit scheduled for Friday.
PM Modi wrote on X:
“Delighted to welcome my friend, President Putin to India. Looking forward to our interactions later this evening and tomorrow. India-Russia friendship is a time tested one that has greatly benefitted our people.”
