Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin held bilateral talks at Hyderabad House in New Delhi today. The leaders engaged in detailed discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
PM Modi said that India and Russia share long-lasting and time-tested bonds. He described President Putin’s visit as historically significant, noting that twenty-five years have passed since 2001, when Putin first assumed office and visited India. Modi said that visit laid the foundation for a strong and enduring strategic partnership between the countries.
He added that his personal association with President Putin also completes twenty-five years. Modi said the role Putin played in 2001 reflected the thinking and actions of a visionary leader, adding that the strength and depth of the India–Russia relationship today stand as a testament to that vision.
