Indian Embassy in Nepal holds seminar on Bhagavad Gita’s modern relevance

The Embassy of India in Nepal on Tuesday hosted a seminar titled “The Relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in Today’s World,” organised as part of the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 celebrations.

Professors from Nepal Sanskrit University and Tribhuvan University delivered presentations highlighting the Gita’s timeless wisdom and contemporary significance.

The event was graced by Dr Narayan Prasad Gautam and Dr Prem Raj Neupane, who spoke on the concept of Karmayoga.

Students and teachers from the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Nepal presented cultural dances and musical performances inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, captivating the audience and enriching the celebration.

The weeklong International Gita Mahotsav 2025 will begin on Gita Jayanti, December 1, and will be celebrated primarily in Kurukshetra, Haryana.
