External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will meet his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Monday to discuss a range of key bilateral and international issues. Jaishankar is visiting Moscow for the two-day SCO Heads of State Council meeting beginning today.
During the visit, S. Jaishankar is also expected to virtually inaugurate new Indian consulates in Kazan and Ekaterinburg, key emerging hubs for technology and strategic cooperation.
The engagement precedes President Vladimir Putin’s anticipated visit to India in early December for the annual summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
