All five Indian chess players, including Grandmasters Arjun Erigaisi and Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, drew their opening games in the fourth round of the FIDE World Cup in Goa.

Erigaisi faced little difficulty against Peter Leko, who appeared content with a draw while playing with the white pieces. The Indian Grandmaster is expected to play more aggressively in the return game.

Praggnanandhaa was in a slightly worse position when Daniil Dubov decided to split points, seemingly hoping to take his chances in the next encounter.

Grandmasters Pentala Harikrishna, Pranav Venkatesh, and Karthik Venkataraman also settled for draws against their respective opponents.
