Mumbai Customs Seizes Narcotics Worth around ₹13 Crore

Mumbai Customs Zone III officers at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) seized narcotics and high-value goods worth over ₹13 crore this week.

Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted passengers arriving from Bangkok and seized a total of 12.418 kg of Hydroponic Weed (Marijuana), valued at ₹12.418 crore. Six passengers were arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985, in three separate cases.

In another case, officers intercepted three passengers from Sharjah carrying 40 iPhone 17 Pro Max units, 30 laptops, 12 liquor bottles, and cigarettes, valued at ₹56.55 lakh. All three passengers were arrested under the Customs Act, 1962.
